GEORGIA SANDALL
Director, Global Sales
Georgia’s worldwide explorations started on Day One when she was born to two British ex-pats in Hong Kong. Returning to England to grow up, she spent her childhood exploring Europe, and gained a passion for languages and learning about different cultures. At the age of eighteen she flew to Mexico on her own for her first travel adventure, volunteering at a Children’s Refuge and travelling all over the country. This is where her adoration for travel began.
She studied Hispanic Studies at university in England, becoming fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. She lived in Cádiz in southern Spain and spent six months living and travelling through one of her favorite countries in the world, Brazil. She volunteered in favelas, hitch-hiked with locals and became truly empowered as a woman travelling on her own.
Moving to London, for three years she worked at a top UK tour operator as a Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Uruguay Specialist. For work she travelled the entire length of Chile and Argentina, discovering stargazing in the Atacama Desert and coming face-to-face with a wild puma in Patagonia. She returned to Brazil several times to visit the Pantanal, the Amazon Rainforest and more. She was also lucky enough to cruise around the very bottom of the South American continent, stepping on Cape Horn, and the furthest south she has ever been.
Not done with her explorations, she set off on her most recent independent adventure: six months travelling from Cuba to Colombia, through every Central American country along the way. Finally, she relocated to the States with her husband and became part of the wonderful GeoEx family. She can’t wait for more adventures to come!
