When to Go

BEST TIMES: April-May and September-October are ideal for trekking, with spring blooms or fall foliage, and clear views.
ALSO CONSIDER: The summer months of June-August are warm and mostly dry, but clouds may obscure views. November-February is very cold but clear skies mean good views. February-March the country is closed to foreign travelers for about six weeks.
